Introducing the "Blues Senior" Amp
Below are some pictures from the creation of Pelle
Lindberg's 3x10" "Blues Senior" amp. The chassis is from a Fender
Blues Jr from 2001 while the cabinet
is based on the narrow panel tweed Bandmaster amp.
The cabinet was made from 3/4" pine and a baltic birch baffle. Special care
had to be taken in producing a cabinet cut out and a back panel for the Blues Jr
chassis. To get that nice aged look I have treated the wood with two layers of Honey
Maple stain and one layer of polyurethane satin finish. Finally, the cabinet
was endowed with a set of Weber VST alnico speakers. The choice for this amp was
one 10A125 in the upper position and two 10A100T in the bottom positions.

While the chassis was installed it was also equipped with a bias adjustment
potentiometer (left) and a "Sole Control" for the negative feedback (right).
These two
modifications are very much recommended for the Blues Jr amp as it further
enhances its great tone.
