Bandmaster Speaker Cabinet

When the harp player in my band showed too much interest in my Clark Tyger cabinet, I told him that I could build
him an identical cabinet. Said and done, I ventured to build my first ever speaker cabinet: a 3x10" narrow panel
Bandmaster type. My friend told me he would prefer an uncovered cabinet to bring out the beauty of the natural
wood, which of course put some extra pressure on me in terms of choosing good pine and joint technique. To
that end, I chose dense-grown pine from the Northern Swedish Forests glued in 4 cm stripes to avoid the warping
typically associated with cheap lumperyard pine. The sides of the cabinet were merged using dovetail joints. The
baffle was made of 9 mm (3/8") Baltic Birch plywood. After assembly, rounding and sanding, the cabinet was finally
treated with Honey Pine stain and polyurethane finish. A triplet of Weber VST P10R-H speakers perfected the project.

Below are some pictures from the creation my first 3x10" speaker cabinet. Enjoy!
